Originally
a monastic site founded in the 6th century. Some of the medieval structure is
retained in the 19th century church, now used as a community hall. Marked as
'Clonkeen Ch', after the parish name, on Taylor and Skinner's map 1778 and as
'St. Medoc's Church' on the O.S. six-inch map.

County
Council cottage of late-19th/early 20th-century date on the road to
Tallanstown. Original stone and brick painted over. Now empty.
Site 22 Glebe House, Clonmore (thanks to Kieran Campbell)
Built 1782 to a design by Francis Johnston, architect whose other works include Townley Hall, Drogheda and the GPO, Dublin.
