The Society’s Summer Excursion by coach will visit Co Kildare on Friday 19 June 2026.

Visits will include:

• Johnstown Garden Centre
• Athy: The Shackleton Experience
• Castletown House
• Dunboyne Castle

 

The coach departs from the Homebase carpark in the Drogheda Retail Park (A92 V189) at 9:15 a.m. and from the Gateway Hotel (formerly the Crowne Plaza Hotel) in Dundalk at 8:30 a.m.

 

The day will also include

• Tea/Coffee/Scones – Johnstown, (10% off).
• Light Lunch  – Athy (Packed or Purchase)
• Evening Meal – Drawing Room – Dunboyne Castle

 

The cost is €90 per person which includes Coach, Evening Meal, Castletown House, Shackleton Experience, gratuities, but not lunch or coffee stop.
